The year is 2195. On October 1st an alien fleet attacks the Mars colonies. The Earth Forces space fleet is destroyed. The survivors of the Earth colony make it back to Earth...the only thing known about their alien attackers is that they are from Jupiter. A technological group of government officials called NERGAL are asked to design and build their own space battleship to help save the Earth. Nadesico is born. A young girl named Yurika Misamaru has been choosen to captain the Nadesico, Yurika is also the daughter of a Navy general! The Nadesico is launched...starts it's own war with the aliens, and stays one step ahead of the Navy continuously.
